Limerick lace is the most famous of all Irish laces. Established in , it has been worn by thousands of women, including Queen Victoria, American First Lady Edith Roosevelt and Countess Markievicz. This book (pronounced Clo-ness) has lots of historical information from people who actually made Irish lace during the potato famine. Then it goes into the patterns and stitches with very easy to follow instructions and diagrams. I have recommended this book to everyone who asks me about Irish crocheted lace/5(3).
